Hi,
My boss wants me to find Pagemaker and two extra licenses and I'm trying to find a source where we won't have to pay an arm or a leg for them. I work at a state university, so we should be able to get an educational or governmental price break. I've found around $289 for the first copy but can't seem to find any price deal for just two extra licenses. Anybody out there have any leads? (I'm in the US)

Have you tried Adobe's site?

For educational licensing, you will not be able to purchase that through anyone but Adobe, I am afraid. Another solution would be Ebay or half.com... but make sure you are getting the entire package with book, CD and license, and then you will have to call Adobe and have the registration switched to your company... When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I would like to recommend that if you go through Ebay you be extra careful. Some of the sellers have a tendency of making it sound like you are purchasing a software program when in reality you are only bidding on a set of tutorial or ebooks on the subject.

Take my word, myself and several other I've talked to have had the same problem. But if you can get it on ebay you are lible to get a pretty good deal.

I personally have never bought software through Ebay, but I had gotten good deals through half.com (which Ebay recently bought) and in every case recieved an unopened, unused copy with manual. Of course it may be the previous version, example it is easier to get PM6.5 than 7.0 this way. But buying an ealrier vs and then purchasing the Adobe upgrade still may be easier on your wallet than buying full vs. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
