Purchase of Tivoli ServiceDesk by Peregrine

Hi all,
I am mainly a user of Tivoli products, and Tivoli have announced that their ServiceDesk suite is to be sold to Peregrine.
Does anyone have any information on Peregrines intentions with the products? How about their support for Tivoli customers?
The ServiceDesk suite is now a good and complete helpdesk system, and if Peregrine want to combine it in with their offering then that will be a good future; however if it is just to take the competetive product out of the marketplace then that will be a shame.
Do you have any other news on this?
 
Hi, Peregrine is Number 1(Gartner/Meta) for a service desk solution - They plan to convert all Tivoli Service Desk Licenses into Peregrine Service Desk over the next 1 - 2 years. Peregrine is Big $$$$, I have heard that Remedy - A
competitor is offering a Free Swap for any Tivoli Service Desk Licenses - Remedy has a tight integration with Tivoli TEC, Check out the Remedy website as another option.
Market Share Ranks for Service Desk:
1. CA Unicenter
2. Peregrine
3. Remedy.

Now that Peregrine is going to acquire Remedy, the whole equation would change.

Could you provide references for the market share data.

This is not exactly a reply to your thread but I am evaluating Peregrine products (AssetCenter, ServiceCenter and Get-Resources, InfraTools IDD, IND and RemoteControl). As per your thread, I gathered that you might have some experience in these products. I would appreciate if you could share some of your experiences like if you have come across any implementation issues, possible pitfalls, operational issues, etc.
