We have an NEC IVS2 with a dedictaed local PRI with 200 DID's, and a dedicated LD PRI. Currently when I place a call to anyone in the outside world our number displays on their caller ID as "602". How can I pulse out an individuals DID # over our PRI's?

I would want one of two scenarios.

1. Pulse out main number only -OR-
2. Pulse the DID of the person placing the call

I would like to know how to do each of the above scenarios.

I appreciate the help.

I looked at 1212 for my extension, and it stated none. So I entered my extension, which it took, but it only pulses out those 4 numbers as 123-4 on my caller id. CM1212 wont take the full phone number. I dont clearly understand how CM12 works. Can you elaborate on this, it seems that Im on to something, but something is definately missing.

As for CM1213 I have no idea what it is for, or how to interpret it.

Thanks for the help!

Ok I figured out that by adding our area code & prefix into CM 5005, and changing CM1213 on my extension to 00, that it now pulses 123-456. I know that if I add my extension within CM1212 it will now pulse the number correctly.

This is fine, but its extension specific. Can I make global changes? Or at the very least mass changes?

Thanks!

Any idea how to achieve this globally? Or to do mass changes rather than individual stations?

Thanks!

So if I understand you correctly. There is no batch processing to set command 1213 for all extensions to the pattern built in 5005. Is this correct?

I have 200 extensions, this would take forever.

Is there a way to simply pulse a main number for all calls, and have that applied globally? So no matter what extension Im calling from the celled party would see 123-456-7890?

Thanks for the help. Im new to PBX's so I have a bit of a learning curve to go through.

You can assign a bin (00~14) to the individual ISDN PRI trunks in CM 3034 (23 assignments) and then program your 10 digit number to that bin in CM 5005.
If a station has no assignment in CM 12 it will use the number assigned via CM 3034 for the trunk.
If the station does have something in CM 12 it will over ride the setting in CM 3034.

If you are comfortable using the Mach script editor in matworX you can create a script that will set 1212 It is simple to do in Excel which you then save as a .csv file and uplod the the script editor.

Ive never used the Mach script editor, but I may look into this as an option. Im completely new to PBX's in general, so a lot of the terminology has been difficult enough, let alone trying to use all of the NEC tools.

I appreciate the feedback.
