Hello all. This may seem simple to some, but i have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. i have a table that is called "CUSTOMERS". It includes: COMPANY NAME, COMPANY/DEPARTMENT, BILLING ADDRESS, CITY, STATE/PROVINCE and POSTAL CODE. I have several customers listed in the table. i then have an order details table where i enter data. In the customers field, i have a dropdown box that i can select a customer from. it is a lookup based on a list box. When i run a report to show the order details, the report only shows the Company name. How can i get the entire address to show up?

I then have the same concern with the product on the order. I have a "PRODUCTS" table with several lines that include "PRODUCT NAME, PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & PRODUCT DESCRIPTION1. When entering an order detail, i also have a drop down menu to select the product. However, when i run a report, only the first line shows up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi - Is your report linked to a query. If not it should be so that you can link the two tables.

Let me know. Beth beth@integratedresourcemgmt.com

I have a query that has 4 tables linked together. 2 that are data entry tables where the order info is entered. the other two are for products and for customers. but when i create a report based on this new query, no data is displayed in either the query or the table. i think i have taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Thank you.

You most likely need to change the join properties of the linking in the query. You can do this by right clicking on the join link. Generally if the results aren't displaying properly you should try changing the join properties to: Option #2 (this is in Access 2000).

Try that and let me know. When you are linking four tables it gets complex, but generally that has worked for me in most all situations.

Keep me posted on your results. I will be in and out all day today and available to help.

Beth, thank you. when i cahnged to option 2, the query showed data. but when i look at the report, i still get only the company name, not the complete address. same with the products. Sorry to be a pain, but this has been racking my brain all day.

Thanks,
Gus

Why don't you zip up the database and send it to me at:

I can look at it and then tell you what is up. Sound good?
