Hi there (I am using Crystal XI.)

I am quite new to Crystal Reports and have to put together a report that looks at the categories table in a db where one contact record may have more than one category.

My report is happily working to the point of displaying one of these per record but throws a tantrum when I try to add the second one.

From what I can see it seems to apply the criteria I have added as the first select expert over the whole report - is there a way I can do more than one? As I add the second tab in select expert all my data disappears from the report...

Thanks for any help you can give me.

If you are trying to allow multiple values for the field, then you should be using "is one of", not "equals". The selection criteria are applied to each record, so you can see that {table.category} = "A" AND {table.category} = "B" is impossible for the same record/rwo of data. By using "is one of", an "or" will be inserted, allowing multiple records to occur if they match one of the criteria.
