Hi There

I have a client who has given me a bunch of word documents with data in tables. She wants me to make a web based application out of this, so I need to pull the data out and put it into a database. Is there any easy way to do this?

ANy tips?

Thanks

Ben

Depends on what kind of database you need it to transfer too. I'm pretty sure that you can import it into Access with out many problems. Take the Word Documents, covert the table to tab separated and save as a *.txt file. Then in Access do File-Get External Data - Import find the txt file you need and follow the wizard!

If you are using something other than Access, you may be able to do something similar.

Thanks Leslie

I had thought of that - onceI get it into any ODBC database I can move it around pretty easily. The problem is that there are about 500 of these things, so I was hoping to somehow automate it - there is also text before and after every table...

It's a bit of a mess.
