Hello everyone I am have been trying to get this code to work for the longest time and I jus can not grab it. I have a form that has a sub form and and I have code that when you double click a field in the sub form another form opens and it is controled by a query that is looking for data from the sub form. Now I know that when you pull data from a form into a query you simply write forms!formname!fieldname.text but how do I get that subform? I am using access 2k.

thank you in advance,

a trick I use:
open your MAIN form in design mode
start a new macro
set the Action to SetValue
down below, to the right of ITEM, click the build button
navigate thru the Main Form, Sub Form, then to your control name. You can see how Access builds it, that's what you can use.
