Pulling data from 2 different yrs

This problem has been occuring since we went to an ODBC connection. For example, when I do the balance sheet template I created, if I drag the previous years data and the current years data, the preview screen goes blank. If I only use one years data, it works fine. I am putting the data in the Report Header section.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options. In this case, it may make no difference. It's certainly not a problem I've come across.

A work-round would be to have a subreport for one year and show the other year in the main report. This should not be necessary, but I'd suppose there is something odd about the way your template works.

Thanks, I had to do with my template. I used a parameter to allow different years by going to the section expert and created a parameter to allow it:
{RV_GLSA_ROLLING_BAL.GL_YR} in Year({?End Date})-1 to Year({?End Date})

This made my Formulas make sense when {prior year} 's data was put in the sections
