Pulling data for every 3rd day

Is there a formula that will allow me to pull data just for every third day in a date range? For example, my end date is today and I want to go backwards to Jan 1st for every 3rd day. This will be a daily report that would give each shift (A,B,C) their cumulative report for data.

Do you mean every calendar day including weekends and holidays?

Thanks for the help. Had to do some minor modification to the formula but works great.
