an example for inserting a block........what should i change for use in 2000

HI.

I've written a free utility for R14 that builds MNS files for that purpose, that is intended to avoid manual editing of the menu.
It works also for Acad2000/2002 if you use ^C^C-insert instead of ^C^Cinsert .

You can download it from here:

BTW - it is recommended not to edit the ACAD.MNU file but to build custom MNS files and load them separatly. I guess you already know that.

In Acad 2000 and later there is also built in new feature to manage block libraries. I don't know much about that feature but it's a good idea to try it as well.
I think that it is called "design center" or something similar.

Hi,
The hyphen is used to suppress the dialog box. Any menu lines such as "layer" will now need the hyphen in front of them. The same goes for command line entry of commands.

Yizhar,

Good to see you.

I have been using Yizhar's little program for years to create drop down menus in R14, 2002 and 2004.

For some reason, a menu that previously worked great just vanished. I went to "customize--> menu" and tried to reload the mnc/mns file but I just get an error saying it could not be loaded.

Does anyone know what might have happened?
