Publishing to .exe causes coding problems

Hi all. I made something I'm rather proud of which you can find located at:


This seems to work fine as a flash file viewed on a browser. I published it to .hqx and .exe as well in case someone wanted to use it without having access to a browser or flash viewer. But something peculiar happens. You have to push 'say it' twice in order for it to play the appropriate sounds, and the running text bar is erased prematurely, replaced with 'Playing' ... (which should have disappeared as soon as the sound files have finished playing, showing the last chosen words again).

Anyway, if you play around with it, you can see what I mean. I've made a zip file available at:


(4MB large) with all the files (minus the source code). Hopefully someone can explain to me why this is happening. Also, if someone tries the .hqx file on a mac, I'd love to know how it works out for you. I haven't had the opportunity to check it.
