Publishing problem

The weirdest and the worst thing has happened to me! Weird because i dont know what caused it and the worst because i just finished a Flash site & can not publish it.
Has this happened to anyone else? I go to publish the HTML and SWF & the Flash 5 program freezes. I open a different, actually earlier version of the Flash fla and it publishes just fine. HELP!!!!!

move the file into another directory..ie: if it is in my documents move it to your desktop then try..

see what happens..

just read your entry and tried what you said, didnt work though. makes sense though, windows is like that sometimes or can be i guess. (just pretend i wrote a bunch a curse words) any other ideas virt? this ever happen to you before?

yes it has just recently as a matter of fact..i had to re-install eveything after i got hit by a virus..luckly i had backed up all my files a couple days before..anyways after re-installing and putting my files back on my system i could not publish anything from flash..ended up being i had to move all my files to another directory and they all worked fine..the way i found out was i accidentally saved it to the desktop in frustration from it not working..was getting ready to trash everything..but for some reson i tried to open it one more time and publish and i'll be dam^ if it didn't work.. fate i guess!!

anyways copy all the frames and paste them into another movie..thats all i can think of..

funny thing is that i have pasted my layer and stuff to a new page but same result. then i deleted a bunch of mc's and then selected publish, that dang thing published. did not know it was actually possible to have a mc of something i have done with in the fla for it not to publish but it did. weird! thanks for the advice!
