Publishing a swf file to html

I am having a very difficult time publishing my swf file to html. It has been imported to html file, and saved, but the html file is not showing up in the browser, and I can't find anything wrong with it. What am I doing wrong?

"publishing my swf file to html" = did you ever try File -> Publish Settings in flash?

"but the html file is not showing up in the browser" what do you mean not showing up? during preview or? THANKZ!
