Hi can anyone help us with this publishing connection problem?

I have a ODBC connection to an Oracle database setup - I have created a report from the data (all works fine and returns data OK) and then published it to our Enterprise environment.

However when I change the properties of this report and amend the login details (username/password that worked when I created it locally), when I run it, it fails with the error 'Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.'

All other data sources (ODBC to SQL databases) I use work OK - just not this one for some reason.

CR v10 & CE v10

Any thoughts anyone?
thanks

Hi,
Be sure the same ODBC driver is installed on the CE server and that the DSN is the same..

( also check that the tnsnames.ora file on the CE server has the same entries as the one on your desktop)

A better approach is to use the Oracle Native connection method.

Ah sorry when I say I created a report, I mean I created it on the server where Enterprise sits so it's using exactly the same ODBC connection.

Hi,
Is the DSN a User or System one?
