I'm using Publisher 2010 and want to use the Auto Shape of an Elbow Arrow Connector. (This is the bent line with an arrow at one end.)

I'm trying to point to areas of an image using the arrow connector from text boxes around the outside.

In the middle of my sheet is a larger JPG image. Clicking on this image you see the 8 grap handles - once is each corner, and one in the centre of each side.

I'm trying to draw an arrow line from a text box outside this JPG to a location inside the JPG.

The problem I have is that the Elbow Arrow Connector, keep snapping to one of the "grab handles" on the perimeter of the image and not the location I want on the inside.

Can any one advise how I can do this?

hi,

1) You are posting in the PROGRAMMERS group, so are you using VBA code to do this? If you are not, then be aware that in the future, you ought to post in forum68.

2) You are using a CONNECTOR, which CONNECTS on the edges of shapes on your document.

So you can make it APPEAR to end inside your shape, if you put an empty shape with no border at the appropriate place inside your shape and then connect to THAT INSIDE shape. THEN if you GROUP the shape and inside-shape, you can move that group around and the connector will follow the inside-shape.

How will that work for you?
