Hi there,
I have Publisher 2002 installed over a large network at a highschool. We use Windows XP, and some of the machines have smaller HD's so I manage the local user profiles with scripts, etc... The issue I want to get rid of, is that annoying 'Setting up Office for the first time...' load screen. Sure, the next time that user logs in to that machine, it doesn't come up, but students tend to pick machines at random and are sometimes endlessly waiting for this silly thing.
Can this be either disabled, or a general template be used for each user? There is no reason to personalize this software...
Thanks.
