HI...
I'm running a pilot with Win2k and XPe with FR1 installed.

When I publish Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and visit a site that has Flash Macromedia items on it, as I move the cursor over them the screen refreshes each time causing a strobe like effect.

Does anyone know how to set up IE to show the Flash items but not activate any of the embedded features.
It feels like I need a dummy flash plugin or something.

Thanks for your time

Cheers
Alan

It would be better not to have animations at all - ICA doesn't handle it very well.

However, you may get a more satisfactory result by reducing the colour depth on the client to 256. Also, try adjusting the size of the bitmap cache.

I hope this helps

Thanks for your prompt reply....

Unfortunatly my session is already at 256 and bitmap caching hasn't helped it.

But I have found out a bit more about this and know of a possible fix.

The Fault is with IE as it happens without citrix. A curious thing is that with a page displayed that has the problem, if you right mouse click on an embedded animation and go to properties then esc straight away the page then is displayed correctly with all animation running. (??)

Now the good news I have been informed by a MS employed engineer that there is a MS fix for this its just not published on the web you must log a fault call with them
to get it.

Hope it works ok.
