Good afternoon,

I hope all are well.

I have a problem with publishing an access database using the %username%. On the citrix server each user has a frontend access database c:\databasename\%username%. We are then trying to publish this as an app. command line "c:\databasename\%username%\databasename.mde" but I get Microsoft cannot find the database file `c:\databasename\%username%\databasename.mde`. I can access the database through a desktop using the same command line, it just doesnt want to work through a published app.

Hope someone can help!!

Have you remapped the server drives?

Might work better if you use a url, eg \\servername\database\%username%

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks for your tips.. I have just installed service pack3 which has solved this problem. I also had to rename regappex.dll before I installed SP3. I have tested sp1 and sp2 and they both do not support variables in the publish app command line.

Cheers

DG

Hi
Did you publish Access as an Explicit or annonymous application? If it's anonymmous %username% will be anonXX and that may be why it could not find the database.
