Runing W2k server FR3.

I have 5 servers that publish 2 particular apps. I have 10 other servers that publish 1 particular app. And still another 2 servers that publish desktop apps.

How can I implement access to the 1 particular app that is published on the 10 servers, without having to load the application on the other 7 servers.

I believe an ICA file is the answer, but I don't know how to implement it or where it should be located.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Robin

Citrix Management Console, published applications, locate your app, and then select the servers you want it published on.

No ascotta thats not the info that I am seeking.

I want to be able to offer a citrix session within a citrix session.

In that case your description is not clear at all.

If your application calls an app that is installed on the local machine then it should run ok.

If not then it won't, unless you can programme the app. If you can programme the app then the command line "wfcrun32.exe blah de blah" should do it.

But it would be much more elegant to install app on each citrix server, then you won't use up another connection/license.

Perhaps my description wasn't clear because you don't comprehend what is written?

Quite clearly, I want to publish an application on another server to users who are logged into other servers that don't publish the application.

If I wanted to load and publish those applications on all the servers, I would have, and I would not have posted my question here.

But thanks for you time.

So which of my solutions does not solve that issue, your english is quite good, but I think you are not quite explaining what you are trying to do, or you don't understand what I am describing to you.

Are you talking about working from published desktops, running what you can locally (If it is installed) and forcing everything else to run via Citrix sessions to other servers?

You could either
a. Make ICA files for each app (I don't know how sorry; never do it myself).
b. Have users launch the non-standard style apps from program neighborhood
c. Use Pnagent on the desktop and publish out the shortcut for the apps automatically.

I use option b myself, but a or c seem reasonable choices as well.
