Hi all.
I'm having a problem that's driving me nuts and I hope that you fine folks can shed a bit of insight.
Environment: MetaFrame XP on Win2K server and Win98/2K workstations.
Problem: I recently published an application and all seemed fine until earlier this week when I had 2 users phone to tell me that they were getting an error message when trying to run this particular application (a Windows app that I'm sure noone has ever heard of relating to medical record keeping).
After running some tests, I discovered that I could access the application with no problem using an administrators account. But when using a "users" account, it gave an error saying that it couldn't find the database.
A bit more history. This particular application is basically an MSACCESS database application with the database sitting on the network and the client software pointing to this database. When installing the client on a workstation, it creates a default database on "C:\Program Files\ISCIS\<database name>". Once installed, you then point the client to the live database on the network and delete the default one.
The problem occurs when the "user" attempts to run the application. For some reason it tells me that it cannot "find", "C:\Program Files\ISCIS\<database name>" and fails.
The database location on the published application (on both Citrix servers in the farm) points to the proper, live database on the network. All rights have been given to each user and the "admin" user can access the application with no problem.
I've gone through everything I can think of re: user rights, etc and even recreated a test user with everything from basic rights to full admin rights to see if I could see see anything unusual. Nothing works. I keep getting the message that it couldn't "find" the database on "C:\Program Files.....".
I know I've been really wordy and probably don't make any sense at all, but if anyone could give me a hint or suggestion on how to resolve the problem, I'd be most appreciative.
TIA!
Mark
