We use Citrix Metaframe on 2003 to deploy applications only. No one gets a Citrix desktop. The Client machines are 98 with the version 9 or better of the Program Neighbourhood. 98 is locked down, and IE uninstalled to prevent unauthorized surfing, on 98 We use a utlity calle shelaunch, which replaces explorer as the UI. Shelaunch basically puts 2 buttons on the desktop Citrix and Shutdown, and they cant do anything else.
One complaint about our setup is a taskbar, where users can click on each app, we have one app that launched aloot of windows. Now I realize that they press ALT and tap TAB to see the app name and then release to switch to it, but you know how some users get they want it the way it works at home or at their last job.
So my question is, Can you publish the windows taskbar as an app? Or something similiar to provide the same functionality?
