Publish Sharepoint through ISA 2004

I have published a sharepoint site through isa2004.

using the internal link (server\sharepoint.com)I am not prompted for my password when I try to access each document.

when I use the external link (sharepoint.stuff.co.uk) I can access the site but I am prompted for my password for each document I download.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it.
