I need to publish an Outlook Public Calendar. I want everyone to have read-only access to it. I need to update automatically. I have Exchange 2000 and we already have OWA for our employees. This will be for non employees--ie the public.

I found some usefull links in thread605-498402, but they were dead :(

weigoldk,
This will be for non employees--ie the public.
How do you plan on delivering this?
Via a web page?

If so see these links:

As actually viewing the actual calendar requires Exchange & OL the dynamic is not available directly. You could script that whenever a change is made to the calendar that a new HTML link is created to replace the current one. Yes a workaround but one that will work as long as there is not a multitude of alterations in any short period.

Hope this helps

Thanks rvnguy,

To answer your first question, we could either put the calendars on a website or give our "public" users a login to use (the problem we've see with that is that then they have a mailbox and potentially can receive and send mail--even if their mail send and receive limits are 0). We also looked at anonymous login, but were scared away by security concerns.

These calendars change several times a day. We do have Exchange 2000.

Wow a script. I am a complete script novice. I wounldn't even know where to start.

Since I do have Exchange 2000 is there a way to publish calendars and have them update dynamically? We also host our own website--if that matters.

weigoldk,

Did you look at the many 3rd party solutions at the 'slipstick' link I provided?

As you stated that you do not know about scripting, a 3rd party application could be your easiest solution.

Depending on exactly how you want to present this, you could use IIS functionality and a 3rd party app for this or for only viewing the "LOOK" link might be better suited albeit pricey.

There are other links provided that have differing functionality. So look at them and decide if any might provide what you are seeking.

Hope This Helps

rvnguy,

Yea, I looked at slipstick before, but it burns my butt that we are a Microsoft shop and would need a thrid party product to do something that should be a snap without it.

I'll stop being so stubborn and take a closer look.

Thanks again.
