Publish Printers in Active Directory Does Not Work

We have a Win2K network with AD installed and configured, in our environment we have a Win2K print server. All printers are shared, and have 'List in Directory'checked.
These printers do not show in the printer OU on our domain controller, when we try to add these printers to the OU, receive the following error.

'This printer cannot be published. To publish printers on Windows 2000 computers, use the Printers folder.'

It is possible that these printers have to be added to the domain controller from the print server?

There is already one query in the forum on this problem, with not resolution.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, found a resolution for it?

I am having the same problem. My printers are not showing up in AD. I have List in Directory checked,I also have "allow printers ro be published" and Automatically publish new printers in AD" enabled in in the default domain policy. But still no luck. I'll keep an eye out for a fix
