Hi,

I have a simple .swf with text and a background .gif that fade in and out that runs fine.

I've now been asked to supply this as an animated .gif.

On publishing I get large black blocks that fade but bear no resemblance to my text, and my image is heavily distorted (colours changed/rasterized/levels skewed).

Any ideas to sort out this out gratefully received.

Thanks oldnewbie,

do you know of any failsafe methods of publishing directly via Flash though?

Am using v9 (CS3) and expected to be able to output a decent .gif direct rather than using any 3rd party product...
