I usually use 4 digits and have the PRI configured to send down 4 numbers. My question is, if I set public recieved to 3, will it answer the line? I am asking because the office wants 3 digit extension, and they have DID's in order. They want to use the last 3 digits as the set number. I used the cold reset to a DID template and entered the start DN how i want it. But the PRI turns on today, and I wanted some insite. The carrier is sending down 4 digits.

Thanks

Can you ask telco to only send 3 digits? You can do it the way you have it now but the only problem is the circuit will see the first 3 digits comming into the system. so lets say that 1100 is sent to you. Your system will be looking for a Target line with 110 asigned to itnot 100. Hope this make since.

These are two differant things you can have the system still recieve 4 digits for the DID's and change your extentions to 3 digits they do not have to match.

OK, so i need to leave 3 digits as requested, so I will just change the public recieved to 4, and manually go down the list of target lines and add the 4th digit. I only have about 60 DID's, so it could be much worse.

THanks
