I unticked the inherit permissions in the security tab in the Public folders and clicked to remove the inherited permissions and pressed ok.

Now NOBODY has access to view it, read it, or even list it. Not even the system, or the domain administrator etc.

Additionally, I can not see the folder structure within ESM thought the pub1.edb is intact.

How can I restore my public folders to its orginal state?

Thanks,

Chris B.

Thanks for the advise, but I receive the following error when trying to use this tool.

PFDavadmin could not be initialized: Failed to bind to Exchange organizational objects. Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Stack trace: at pfdavadmin.CommonStuff..ctor() at pfdavadmin.Form1..ctor()

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi chris,
Strange error. Never saw that one before.
Maybe a lame question (hope you dont mind because i am in the dark here :)), but what version of PFDavAdmin are u using, and did you start this tool with sufficient exchange permissions? I have reicently used version 2.2 myself to add a user with permissions beginning at root level of the PF tree and all the way down without changing other permissions.
All went well.

Success!

I am using version 2.3, do you know where to get version 2.2? Additionally, if you have it, can you send it to cbarone@bbcomputersinc.com?

Thanks!

Chris B.

2.2 does the same exact thing. Is there any other work around to resolve this issue?

Hi Chris,

shame that didnt work, at this point i do not have a clue on how to go further with this...

Anyone else here with some bright ideas??
