In my Public folders I have changed permissions on certain folders to give me and a user full rights. Both users are owners of the public folder and all folders below. I did this through exchange. When checking the permissions through Outlook and Public Folders both users have full owner rights.

I need to be able to edit and delete some contacts stored in one of the folders that I have full owners rights but when I open a contact it comes up as Read-Only in the title bar. If I try to edit it and save it prompts me "Do you want to save a copy of this item in the default folder for the item"

How do I find the default folder it is stored in (the Advanced find does not find it)?

Or is there anything else I can do to get access these contacts?

Thanks

Have you tried removing to contacts in the exchange manager?
