Public Folders contacts 1

We have our Firms Contact under Public folders. It is called the Firmwide Contact Database. All users can make changes to these contacts. Is there a way to monitor who makes changes and when? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only way I think this may work is make it a moderated folder this way when a change or addition is made it is sent to an administrator to be ok'd before it is posted. I guess someone could keep track of the updates this way.
