Error: No Existing 'PublicFolder' matches the following Identity: '\'.
I have exchange 2010sp1 on a 2008R2 box. We have a perfectly functional public folders database for use with office 2003 clients. Under org config, mailbox, database management I can see my two public folders databases (one on each server). Within the public folders management console I can see that server 2 is fine, and that replication is configured with server 1. On both servers I see that the files are created in the right paths. Everything looks great when on server 2, however I can cannot but not open the "default public folders" or "system public folders" on server 1. I run into the same problem when I try to connect to server 1 from server 2.
In short everything seems to be working fine except listing the folders on server1.
Error: No Existing 'PublicFolder' matches the following Identity: '\'. Make sure you specified the correct 'PublicFolder' Identity and that you have the necessary permissions to view 'PublicFolder'. It was running the command 'get-publicfolder -getchildren -identity '\' -server 'server1'
