We have just migrated from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 and while all the mailboxes moved over without a problem, we are struggling with our Public folders. Half of them are not accessable even though the user has the correct permission. Opening up Exchange 5.5 Admin and changing the anonymous user from having no rights to have "View Folder" rights, Applying/OK'ing it and then going back in and switching it back seems to fix this problem, but we have hundreds of Public Folders and given the choice I would rather find a simpler and less time consuming way of doing this.
Has anyone come accross this problem before or have any suggestions?

Are you in Native mode ?????, because if not, we got the same problem here, the problem is, if you have take distribution list to do the public folder rights, when you migrate to exchange 2000 in a not Native mode, Exchange 2000 try to convert your distributions list in to Universal Sécurité Group and that the problem becauce USG does not exist in mixte environement.

We solve our problem by create a native domain in our mixte domain, but we have to recreate all the distribution lists. Of course i am sure is not the better solution, but well it is working for now
