Public Folder disappearing every week

Hi,

A public folder in my Exch 2000 server keeps disapearing every two weeks. I don't know why. I do not think anyone is deleting it either and I have not checked for viruses yet but figured it is not a virus only cause one particular folder is affected. Anyone know?

Scanned for viruses and it is clean. Is it possible for someone to sync the folder with Outlook on a schedule and delete the public folder after?

Do you have your antivirus scanning your M drive? I've heard that scanning the M drive can cause some weird effects.

Speedracer is right, you should never scan the M: drive as this can open a whole can of worms and is "v bad". Also what version of store.exe are you running?

Is it possible that an owner has been setting the folder so that only owners can access, this will make the folder disappear as compared to 5.5 where you would just hit a permissions issue (I think).

Did you solve this problem? Was it the antivirus scanning or backing up of the M: drive?

I'm having the same problem and would like to know if that was the solution to your problem.
