Situation: Setting up an Auto-Reply in a Public Folder in an Exchange 2000 Mixed Mode server.
Error: When I try to save the auto-reply message, I get the following error: Changes to the rule could not be saved.
- Folder is mail enabled (all are since it's mixed mode)
- The following items are enabled (in the default properties, advanced tab of the SMTP/IMF:
- Allow out of office responses
- Allow automatic replies
- Allow automatic forward
- Allow delivery reports
Only the NDR's automatic replies have been disabled.
More info: Other types of rules work, such as Forward and Delete, but the Reply (Template) will always refused to be saved. Would this have something to do with Exchange being in Mixed mode? I've not found much about this type of problem, besides not having the automatic replies enabled.
