Public Calendar reminders

I am running Windows XP and using Outlook 2003. I was wondering if there was a way to post a calendar in the "ALL PUBLIC FOLDERS" and have it send reminders for upcoming appointments to my other co-workers. Is this even possible? If it is, I would also like to know how to tell this public calendar who to send the reminders to. Thanks in advance for any help.
