Hello:

Obviously can't figure this one out and Microsoft knowledge base doesn't seem to know of this. If anyone else has had this issue, please let me know what you did to work around/resolve!

we're using Exchange 2003 and have a public calendar so that everyone know when each other are on vacation. There are only 3 people that for some reason shows up wrong on everyone else's view. Everyone but these 3 people are on Outlook XP. These 3 people are on Outlook 2003.
When they go to save their vacation days, i.e. they take one day off, they open up "new appt" in the public folder and save the new appt. The Time Zone is set up correctly (EST, plus Daylight Savings checked) and the check box for "All Day Appt" is checked. When they look at their day off in the calendar it shows up correctly, i.e. Monday is the only day off.

When the rest of the office, using Outlook XP, views these appointments, they appear for a day longer. Plus when you open up the appointment, instead of the "All day Event" checked, Outlook XP shows "Monday 1:00 AM - Tuesday 1:00 AM". Thus they appear to be taking 2 days off. The XP users are setup with EST with DST checked.

Any thoughts?

Well, it's still just 24 hours but it straddles midnight. Interesting, check OL2003 for time settings. I will look and see what I can find.

Hi Franklin (and those that may have this issue),

I did find this article on Microsoft finally, but it only partially helped.

I went into my view of the public calendar, and turned off Daylight savings time. This showed everything correctly. But it also set me back an hour.
So I turned DST back on. This adjusted some of the schedules, but not all.

Did you check the time settings in the users outlook?
Tools > Options > Calendar Options > Timezone

Yes, both XP users and 2003 users are on the same time zone with Daylight Savings Time checked.

Well, the good news is that I just got the OK to upgrade to 2003 for ALL users.
This was driving HR nuts on vacation time.

Thanks for your suggestions though!
