Not sure if this is the right spot. Hopefully, someone can help or point me in the right direction.
We have just installed a pt to pt T1 that we want to use to
provide ethernt access to a remote location. We have (2) RAD RCI1/E1/T1 units to convert the T1 to ethernet. We have them installed at each end. Anyone familiar with these units? We have a green pwr LED, alarm and los are off(normal) and our ethernet LED is green on each side. The units are connected directly via the T1 ports to an at&t smart jack. The circuits test good end to end,but we can't get any dhcp connections from our main location. I'm sure we have some options incorrect in the RAD units. Anyone have any basis settings?

Thanks,
poopus

Unfamiliar with RAD brand all-together; however, are you sure the these devices are both CSU/DSU and router?

The Rad unit can be et up as either DSU or CSU. I currently have it set as a DSU. It receives the T1 signal and than converts it to 10/100mb ethernet port. I have a router /switch connected to the ethernet port.

Ok... see now, it's an ethernet extender product. I'm assuming you checked out rad's website for support? Wish I could help more, was thinking maybe this was just a case where you had a CSU and also needed a router. Hope you figure it out. Good luck.

Poopus,
What is the complete setup.. Routers models etc. Also what is the extent of your troubleshooting.. Can you ping across the PtP link from the routers through the RAD units?

Sorry in the delay getting back. I was able to get the RAD unit to work. Actualy, I had the set up correct. There was a flaky local pair causing a problem. Thanks for all the responses.
