PEACHTREE PREMIUM 2008; CUSTOM AND STANDARD JOB PROFITABILITY REPORTS ON OCCASION, SEEMS TO RANDOMLY APPLY A COGS (COST OF GOODS SOLD) AMOUNT FROM NO WHERE, WHICH CAUSES THE REPORT TO SHOW A NEGATIVE PROFIT; WE TRIED THE FOLLOWING TO REMEDY: RESTART COMPUTER AND PEACHTREE, DELETE ORIGINAL JOB NUMBER AND CREATE A NEW JOB NUMBER; DELETE ORGINAL INVOICE AND CREATE NEW INVOICE NUMBER; CREATE A NEW INVENTORY ITEM NUMBER; APPLY INVOICE TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER; NONE OF THESE WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. CAN ANYONE ASSIST?

 
Look at the sale journal report and see if the cogs account is tied to a job id. Usually, COGS is not calculated until the sales invoice is saved.
