Outlook is the only program I am aware of. Why is that such a surprise and an insufficient solution? With Exchange 2003 you get free licenses for Outlook 2003 with each Exchange CAL purchased.
PST files were made to be read with Outlook, were designed to be used with Outlook. What would be the point of developing another tool by a company other than MS?
Definitely use Outlook to view them especially as you already have a legit copy to use.
but Outlook it's also a Calendar, Activity Manager, diary... it's a big (and good) software.
I was look ONLY for a pst reader for searching old mail in my NAS archive, maybe with special and avanced tool of search an archiving
But don't matter for that, i'll use a copy of Outlook for that work. Thank you all!!
PS: It wasn't a license problem.. fortunately in my company we have 100% of regular software
There is also a third party software application developed specifically for the legal industry. It is uses dtsearch to extract and create a searchable index for pst files and comes with it own viewer which allows you to both read the email and it's attachments. ISYS 7 Desktop. Check it out. It requires no file conversion and accepts a good range of file types.
