This is an on going issue, which only seems to be affecting two users in one remote office - other users in the other remote offices are fine.

Issues are...

User is intermittently unable to expand her .pst files. Error messages received are varied e.g.

"Unable to expand the folder, the file u:\2005.pst is in use and could not be accessed. Close any application that is using this file, and then try again"

"Some items could not be moved. They were either moved or deleted or access was denied."

"Windows delayed write failure"

"Unable to expand the folder, set of folders could not be opened. An error occurred that prevented file from being saved."

Machine is running XP with SP2 (fw disabled), office 2000 SP3 and RSA SecureClient NG.

Issues can occur when moving emails to .pst files or when just accessing them. Issues can be replicated on some machines in the same office with both the same and different build's, however not all.

Any help very much appreciated. Thanks.

Is there connection dial-up or hi-speed/LAN?

The main office has a 1Mb leased line with the remote office using a 2Mb ADSL line.

The .pst files have been used over a dialup connection and seem to work with out a problem.
