I have a PST file that is 305MB. I switched computers and when I import the pst file to a personal folder, only a portion of the mail is available. I then check the folder size and location of the newly created personal folder and it is pointed to the correct file but only 211MB. There is a missing 94MB somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks in advance .

I'm thinking I might be considering putting that stuff in some separate folders by now... and exporting those to their own PSTs.

Can I vent here? Why do people have such big PST files in the first place? Do you save all your mail? If it's for business/security reasons, why don't you create monthly folders and work with them. Then, every few months, sort the stuff for anything older than 3 months and put it into its own folder (called, for instance December) and archive it (close it). Then your PST files won't get so huge. I get sometimes 50 emails a day right here at home and my outlook.pst is only 78MB and it needs desperately to be cleaned out. I guess I just don't get it.
