Hi...I have a user that cannot access her .pst file in Outlook 2000. I cannot figure out why. Her .pst file is on a file server and she has access to this server but when we try to go into her Personal Folders it tells us there is no connection to the server and it freezes up her Outlook and we have end the task and then go back in. I have tried running the Inbox repair tool kit, renaming the .pst file, placing the .pst file somewhere else...and nothing has worked. Can anyone help me out here??
Thank you in advance!!!

jakenjod,
Try having the person create a new personal folder file in the desired location. If unable to create a *.pst file, then you may need to look further into the person's permissions to that file server. If able to do so, have someone else export/import all the objects into the new pst file as needed.
Are you sure you're not dealing with version conflicts? Office Outlook 2003 vs Outlook 2000?

Hope this helps.

Are there other users with the same set up but working?
How does this user 'see' the server folder with their pst file in, as part of a real AD structure, or just as a shared folder? Try mapping the folder as a drive letter.
All the best
James
