PSP8 Drop Shadow not working ??

I go to effects , 3D effects, but Drop Shadow is greyed out...the only options avaliable to use are...Buttonize, cutout and Inner Bevel ???? Debbie

I did forget to say, this is after I put a tube ,from the tube menu on a new canvas????? I can use Drop Shadow on text. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken , you need to actually select something for drop shadow to know what its supposed to give the shadow too.

Try selecting around the tube and then using drop shadow.
