I'm working on a function in Access 97 to return a sheet of random passwords that a user can select from. The words should be English-like and pronounceable so they are easier to remember. I've had some success with this, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel. Does anyone already have code for this? My intention is to provide 6-character, initial-cap "words" appended with one number and one special character such as punctuation marks. Actually, this is one of the more "fun" tasks I've started, but I see a lot of work to refine the code.

TIA!

Actually sounds like - a bad idea. Passwords should not be taken from a (restricted) list, as it makes them MUCH easier to decode/crack. Your 'definition' pratically gives away the scheme, and even a glance at such a list would give the average hacker all the clues necessary to build a routine to crack everyones password in 'no time'.

My very firm advice is to run (NOT walk) away from this.
