pSeries 650 question about

Does it require purchase of HMC for none-partitioning system? Will it start in full partition mode without HMC ???

I have four p650's and no HMC's. Mine are all running 5.1 in full partition mode ( however, using WLM ).

Hi

If you ordered the system with HACMP and you dont want to create LPARs then your System will but with the Profile Full Partition Mode.
If you d'ont ordered the HMC your System will but as an old type

You do not need an HMC. You will be able to install and run the server as if it was a regular AIX non-LPAR box. You will see all system resources are clubbed together to give one machine.
