PSC 1350 install problems

I recently received an HP PSC 1350 all in one printer as a replacement for an older deskjet printer. I installed the printer at the same time that I added a 2nd hard drive. Everything seemed to work ok but the next time I powered up the system it reported problems and put me to the boot nto safe mode page. I spent a long time trying to resolve what I thought was a: hard drive, bios, etc problem only to restore my system, reinstall the hard drive and printer and then realize the problem was the printer not the hard drive. I just couldn't believe a printer could cause this many problems.
Is there a historu of installation problems with this device?

I am also having this problem... I could have written your post (minus installing a second hard drive)... somebody please help!

cytrus, I realize this is well after the fact but I did come across an update from HP that was meant to fix this problem. I did apply the update and did some general clean up and I haven't had problems since. The printer is nosiy but adequate for what I'm using it for.
Hopefully you did get your problem resolved as well.
