Would like to know the following:

1) How to turn an unused port 'u' to a 'p' port and vice versa?

2) If all the infrastructure wiring has done, after insert the cable of the phone to the desk port, will the phone have any electrical power? If there is no electrical power, how to enable the phone to a psa ?

3) How to turn a digital port to a psa port and vice versa ?

4) Any Avaya manual instruction on psa? What are the disavantages of using psa/tti ? (processor power ?)

Many thanks

Selleb,

1. turn on psa. 'p' means psa turned on, 't' means tti turned on and psa turned off.
2. yes, any digital circuit pack provides power to the phones. if you don't have power to the system, you can't do anything including psa.
3. no way to do it. psa means 'personal station access' and that's a feature not a port type. this feature works with any kind of phone types, including digital and analog. you can turn it on or off.
4. the manual is in the documentation set available on support.avaya.com. there are no disadvantages besides giving stupid users something to break. and they'll break it no doubt.
