PS8 : Filter Layers?!

A few people on Adobe's 'wish-list' forums have been looking for the ability to create filter layers. An unconfirmed report suggests it might make it in PS8:

I read that page about a month ago now and am getting excited and anxious for PS8 to come out. What I really like about the new version is the support for text along a path. The non-destructive filter layers is pretty cool too.

Can't wait for it to come out, I will be banging on Adobe's door when they annouce the release of it.
