Hey folks, been using PS for about 4 years now, but only for the mundane tasks at work. I am just now getting around to really using more of it's capabilities.
When Applying the Filter/Distort/Spherize filter, the result is not a true sphere, only "fish-eyed". I remember in PS5.0 or 5.5, being able to actually create a 3d sphere and wrap my image around it, but the results were very poor also. The graphics around the edge of the sphere were stretched, and the image only looked good from one direction. If you rotated the image too far, you wouldn't see anything.
On my website, I have an image that I created using some high-end 3D program, and actually wrapped a BMP around a true sphere, which was exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that software. Now I need to make a change to the globe image... any suggestions on how to get the same results by only using PS6?
