PS6 and SAVE FOR WEB

I'm using Photoshop 6. For some reason the save for web feature is dimmed out under file. I used to use this feature all the time in 5.5 and now I have to jump to image ready to save files for the web.

Kind of a pain.

I have checked the filter and it is in the right directory.

I have installed 2 times already.

Cant figure this out, I have no weird programs like cleansweep or virus protection going on in the background.

Anyone know how to force the save for web to work?!

The only thing I could think is that your image is in multichannel mode. To check open the image and go to Image > mode. If it is set to multichannel the save for web is not available, so change to RGB.

But this is pretty unlikely - I'll try to think of something else it could be.
