I am using WinME and during the last 24 hours, both my PS2 keyboard and mouse have started locking up with no warning and at random times. The mouse pointer does not move and if I continute to move the mouse around, the computer makes a continuous beeping noise. The keyboard usually locks up shortly afterwards, with all the Lock status lights turning themselves off, and then none of the keys working. Because I then lose control over the system, I am forced to reset the computer. Does anyone know why this might happen and how it can be resolved?
